From the time of the first fleet in the late 1700’s, the first settlers were told by the Aboriginals of the Hairyman of the bush, which they had many names for in different dialects. Today, it’s commonly referred to as the Yowie. The Yowie (or Australian Bigfoot) is a relic hominid supposed to have been extinct up to 100,000 years ago – however, still consistently reported all over the world.
