Broadcasting since 1980, Back To Funk is Australias longest running funk music radio show. The show is currently hosted by DJ Meem, a celebrated DJ and music producer who has performed at some of the countries biggest festivals and is credited as a pioneer of electronic music in Australia. It has always represented and promoted black music styles and was integral to the development of hip hop culture throughout the ’80s and ’90s in Sydney. Each week DJ Meem resurfaces old funk, soul, disco and boogie gems while also exploring a diverse range of all other related styles including afrobeat, african, hip hop, reggae, latin, jazz, blues, beats and more.
