Real Nurse Stories began as a way of recognising nurses and nursing to celebrate the 2020 International year of the Nurse and Midwife and the commemoration of the 200th anniversary of the birth of Florence Nightingale. My goal was to give nurses a platform and a voice to share their career journey’s and help other nurses listen to realise that they are not alone with their struggles and learn from their colleague’s stories.
