Presented by Kel Butler (Writes4Women, Writes4Festivals) Catastrophic is a raw collection of 10min stories from people all over Australia giving their first hand account of what it is like to live through the bushfires and face the aftermath. It is a call to action to all political parties to step up and take real action on Climate Change. A way for people to get their stories heard. Right now Australia is in the grips of catastrophic bushfires all over the country. Entire communities are devastated. The only thing saving us is the heroism of Australia’s brave and committed Fire Fighters – many of whom are volunteers and have been fighting, unpaid, since August.

In the spirit of reconciliation we acknowledge the Traditional Owners of Country throughout Australia and recognise the continuing connection to lands, waters, and communities.
We pay our respect to Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander cultures; and to Elders - past, present, and emerging.
Sovereignty was never ceded.
